One of the most profound quotes I have ever read by Emelia Earhart:
“Everyone has ocean's to fly, if they have the heart to do it. Is it reckless? Maybe. But what do dreams know of boundaries?”
This quote sparked a new reality in my life. It challenged me to not only face the fears that I allowed to stop me for living my dreams, but to also identify why my boundaries were so darn limiting.
Was safety the concern? Let’s face it we all know what fear can do and of course it is easier to stay in our comfort zones right?
What I eventually realized was that my choices were limited to the boundaries I had created in my own mind, some of which were learned from years of listening to and watching what others deemed safe and acceptable.
I began to change the limiting perceptions of myself by using my fear as a reason to grow out of my comfort zone and prove to myself that I was able achieve anything I set my mind to.
Don’t be afraid of fear, try using it as a tool to finally take the leap you have always been dreaming about! ~ Jerry Moschella
